2024 Election: Early voting to begin this weekend in New York and New Jersey; Connecticut underway
New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut are among the first states in the nation to start early voting for the 2024 presidential election.
Early voting in New York will begin on Saturday, October 22nd, and run through Sunday, November 6th. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voters can cast their ballots at any early voting site in their county.
In New Jersey, early voting will start on Saturday, October 29th, and run through Sunday, November 6th. Polls in New Jersey will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can choose to vote at a designated polling location or drop off their ballots.
Connecticut began early voting on October 12th, and it will continue until November 2nd. Polls in Connecticut are open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Early voting allows voters to cast their ballots before Election Day, avoiding any lines on election day. It can also be an excellent option for voters who will be out of town on Election Day or have other conflicts that would prevent them from voting on November 8th.
To vote early, voters must be registered to vote in their respective states. Voters can check their registration status by visiting the websites of their state boards of elections or by contacting their local election officials.
If you have any questions about early voting in one of the above states, you can contact your local election officials.
