Aintree Free Racing Tips: Plenty of Betting Options in Competitive Handicap Hurdle
Saturday March 11th
3:00pm
Aintree Handicap Hurdle (5YO+ 0-145) – 3m ½f
The highlight of the Saturday card comes in the shape of the Aintree Handicap Hurdle. A fascinating contest with plenty of betting options that could pay dividends on the penultimate day of the Grand National Festival.
Nicky Henderson's Turban heads the betting and has place claims although he is likely to be vulnerable to one or two of these unexposed types. American Mike would have been prominent in the betting had he not been forced to miss Cheltenham after winning the valuable Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February.
Gary Moore's six-year-old is entitled to strip fitter for that absence and is taken to turn the tables on Turban although preference is for Harry Cob each-way. The Nicky Henderson-trained seven-year-old would have been prominent in the betting for the County Hurdle had he not been ruled out and this represents a good opportunity to land a valuable prize.
- Turban 11/4
- American Mike 13/2
- Harry Cob 10/1
