Blas Pérez, born September 13, 1981, in San Miguelito, Panama, began his football journey with local club Chepo FC. After impressing with his prolific goal-scoring prowess, he moved to Colombian side Deportivo Cali in 2002.

During his time with Cali, Pérez became a fan favorite, helping the club win the 2005 Apertura championship. His impressive performances earned him a move to Mexican club Pachuca in 2007, where he added the Liga MX Apertura title to his resume.

International Career

Pérez made his international debut for Panama in 2001. He quickly established himself as a key player, leading the national team in scoring for several years. In 2005, he played a pivotal role in Panama's historic qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, scoring five goals in the qualifying campaign.

Pérez represented Panama at two World Cups, in 2006 and 2018, and was the nation's all-time top scorer with 43 goals until surpassed by Luis Tejada.
