Brentford 4-3 Ipswich: 'We showed big character today' - Bryan Mbeumo
Bees keep their promotion momentum going
Brentford manager Bryan Mbeumo has praised his team for showing "big character" in their 4-3 win over Ipswich Town on Tuesday night.
The Bees came from behind three times to secure the victory thanks to goals from Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Norgaard and Rico Henry.
Ipswich equally impressive
Ipswich goals came from James Norwood, Wes Burns and Sone Aluko.
The result keeps Brentford in the automatic promotion places in the Championship, while Ipswich remain in the relegation zone.
Mbeumo impressed with team's character
"We showed big character today," said Mbeumo after the game.
"We went behind three times, but we never gave up and we kept fighting until the end.
"That's the sign of a good team, and I'm proud of my players for the way they played tonight."
Ipswich impressive in defeat
Ipswich manager Paul Cook was also impressed with his team's performance, despite the defeat.
"I thought we were excellent tonight," said Cook.
"We caused Brentford a lot of problems and we created some good chances.
"We're disappointed not to get anything from the game, but we can take a lot of positives from our performance."
Brentford now focus on West Brom
Brentford will now turn their attention to their next match against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The Bees will be looking to continue their promotion push, while West Brom will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Sheffield United.
Ipswich face tough trip to Huddersfield
