Deal fix: Tour de France bis 2030 im Free-TV
TV rights secured
The future of the Tour de France on German free TV has been secured for the long term. As announced by sports rights agency SportA, the current contract with France Télévisions has been extended early until 2030. The broadcaster currently shows the last 60 kilometers of each stage live and in full length.
Historic Tour de France
The 2023 Tour de France will be the 110th edition of the Tour de France, one of the three Grand Tours. It is scheduled to take place from July 1st to July 23rd, 2023. The race will consist of 21 stages, spanning a total distance of 3,404 kilometers. The route will start in Bilbao, Spain, and finish in Paris, France.
Big names at the start
Tadej Pogačar, who won the Tour de France in 2020 and 2021, is the favorite to win again in 2023. However, he will face stiff competition from other top riders, including Jonas Vingegaard, Primož Roglič, and Geraint Thomas. The race is expected to be close, with several riders having a chance to win.
Sagan to end his career
Peter Sagan, a three-time winner of the green jersey, has announced that he will retire from professional cycling at the end of the 2023 season. Sagan is one of the most successful riders of his generation, having won seven stages of the Tour de France, three world championships, and the cobblestone classics Paris-Roubaix and Tour of Flanders. He is a fan favorite and will be missed by the peloton.
