Hibernian's players hungry to secure 3 points derby for their manager after defender makes a bold promise before Hearts' visit

Hibernian's players have revealed that they're determined to secure a victory in the upcoming Edinburgh derby against Hearts in order to reward manager Lee Johnson for his efforts since taking charge

Hibs currently sit eighth in the Scottish Premiership standings, nine points adrift of third-placed Hearts, and will be looking to close the gap when the two sides meet at Easter Road on Saturday.

And ahead of the match, defender Rocky Bushiri has vowed that the team will do everything they can to get the win for Johnson, who has overseen a significant improvement in their performances since his appointment in December.

"We know how important this game is to the fans and to the club, and we're determined to put in a performance that they can be proud of,"

Bushiri told the club's official website. "We've been working hard in training all week and we're confident that we can get the result that we want. The manager has been brilliant since he came in, and we all want to repay him with a win on Saturday."

Johnson has praised his players for their commitment and dedication since his arrival at Easter Road, and he will be hoping that they can continue their good form against Hearts.

The former Bristol City boss has guided Hibs to four wins and two draws in his seven matches in charge, and he will be looking to add to that tally when he takes his team to Tynecastle Park on Saturday.

The Edinburgh derby is one of the most fiercely contested fixtures in Scottish football, and Johnson will be aware that his team will need to be at their best if they are to secure a positive result.
