Juventus Coach Max Allegri Remembers Time Spent at Inter Milan Ahead of Derby D’Italia Clash
Juventus coach Max Allegri has spoken about his time at Inter Milan ahead of the Derby d’Italia clash between the two sides this weekend.
Allegri spent two seasons in charge of Inter from 2010 to 2012, winning the Serie A title in his first campaign.
Allegri Admits Fond Memories of Time at Inter Milan
“I have good memories of my time at Inter,” Allegri said at a press conference on Friday.
“I won the Scudetto in my first season and the Italian Super Cup the following year. We also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
“I left Inter because I felt it was the right time for me to move on, but I still have a lot of respect for the club and the fans.
Allegri Not Concerned By Juventus’ Recent Form
Juventus have won just one of their last five matches in all competitions, but Allegri is not concerned about their form ahead of the match against Inter.
“We know that Inter are a strong team, but we are confident that we can get a good result,” Allegri said.
“We have a lot of quality in our squad, and we are determined to show what we can do on Sunday.
Juventus Aim To Bounce Back From Champions League Disappointment
Juventus were beaten 2-0 by Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League on Tuesday, but Allegri is determined to bounce back from that disappointment.
“We are disappointed with the result against Maccabi Haifa, but we need to move on,” Allegri said.
“We have a big match against Inter on Sunday, and we are focused on getting a good result.”
Juventus Team News Ahead of Inter Clash
Juventus will be without Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa for the match against Inter.
Pogba is still recovering from a knee injury, while Chiesa is out with a thigh problem.
However, Allegri has a number of other options available to him, including Angel Di Maria, Dusan Vlahovic, and Leandro Paredes.
