The six-year-old is taken to get off the mark over fences at the third attempt.

2.25 Haydock - The Big Breakaway

This eight-year-old shaped well on his return from a break at Haydock last month and produced a much-improved effort when second to subsequent winner Ahoy Senor at Ascot.

He is expected to make a bold bid to go one better back at Haydock.

3.00 Haydock - Fusil Raffles

This Grade 1 winner has been in excellent form this season and was far from disgraced when finishing a creditable fourth in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury last time.

He is a fascinating contender back down in grade.

3.35 Haydock - Gericault Roque

Philip Hobbs' charge has been a revelation since joining the Minehead handler and ran another cracker when runner-up in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury last time.

He is expected to put up another bold show.

The RSA Chase hero made a pleasing return to action when winning a Grade 2 at Ascot last month and the step up in trip to three miles is expected to suit.
