Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule provides injury update for top offensive playmaker ahead of Ohio State showdown
Rhule says Palmer is "day-to-day" with an undisclosed injury
Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule provided an injury update on Tuesday for his team's top offensive playmaker, Trey Palmer, ahead of the Cornhuskers' showdown with Ohio State on Saturday.
Rhule said that Palmer is "day-to-day" with an undisclosed injury.
Palmer is Nebraska's leading receiver this season with 27 catches for 375 yards and four touchdowns. He is also a key part of the Cornhuskers' special teams, returning punts and kickoffs.
If Palmer is unable to play against Ohio State, it would be a major blow to Nebraska's offense.
The Cornhuskers are already without starting quarterback Casey Thompson, who is out for the season with a thumb injury. Adrian Martinez will start in Thompson's place.
Nebraska is a 27-point underdog against Ohio State, which is ranked No. 3 in the country.
