The Nebraska Humane Society has increased the reward for information leading to the return of a stolen dog from $1,000 to $2,500.

The dog, a 1-year-old pit bull mix named Rocky, was stolen from his home in Omaha on Saturday, January 21st. The suspect, a woman in her 20s, was seen on surveillance video leading Rocky away from the home at around 11:30 p.m.

Rocky's family is desperate to get him back. They say he is a loving and friendly dog who is very special to them.

The Nebraska Humane Society is asking anyone with information about Rocky's whereabouts to call their hotline at 402-444-7800.

In addition to the reward, the Nebraska Humane Society is also offering a free microchip for any dog that is brought into the shelter during the month of February.

Microchips are a permanent form of identification that can help to reunite lost dogs with their families.

For more information on the reward or the free microchip offer, please contact the Nebraska Humane Society at 402-444-7800.
