Thousands of runners crossed the finish line along Merrion Square after completing the 26.2-mile run
Colin Farrell took part in the 43rd Irish Life Dublin Marathon alongside more than 20,000 other runners.
The Hollywood actor took to social media on Monday to share a picture of himself crossing the finish line on Merrion Square.
'Unreal crack'
The Dubliner captioned the picture: "Unreal crack. Great day for the city. Fair play to all the runners, the volunteers and the supporters. Best buzz."
The annual marathon returned to the capital's streets for the first time since 2019 on Sunday.
Over 20,000 runners signed up for the 26.2-mile run, including 3,000 charity runners.
Kenya's Geoffrey Kamworor won the men's race in a time of 2:08:13, while Ethiopia's Ashete Bekere won the women's race in a time of 2:21:40.
'Amazing atmosphere'
Speaking after the race, Colin Farrell said: "It was an amazing atmosphere. I'm so proud of everyone who took part, especially the people who were running for charity.
"It's an incredible event for the city and it's great to see it back after two years."
The 43rd Irish Life Dublin Marathon was a huge success, with thousands of people lining the streets to cheer on the runners.
The event raised millions of euros for charity, and it was a great day for the city of Dublin.
