Awesome Autumns in Central PA: Which WGAL Anchor Carved it Better?
Happy Fall, Y’all!
Crisp air, crunchy leaves, and all things apple cider and pumpkin spice. It must be autumn in Central PA. And, WGAL News 8’s anchors are getting into the spirit with their annual pumpkin carving contest.
We Have a Winner! But Who?
After much deliberation, we’ve crowned a winner in our pumpkin carving contest. Drumroll please…
It’s Scott Harbison!
Scott’s intricate carving of a spooky ghost was a clear winner, earning him the title of “Pumpkin King” for 2022.
The Competition Was Fierce
All of our anchors brought their A-game to this year’s contest. We saw everything from classic jack-o’-lanterns to pop culture icons. Here’s a rundown of the other carvings:
- Barbara Barr: A classic jack-o’-lantern with a friendly smile
- Kim Lemon: A fierce pumpkin dragon
- Lindsey Bohr: A spooky pumpkin witch
- Ryan Eldredge: A carved pumpkin replica of the WGAL logo
- Justin Pizzi: A pumpkin portrait of his dog, Kona
Simply Gourd-geous!
We want to thank all of our anchors for participating in this year’s contest. They all did an amazing job, and we’re so proud of their creativity. But, of course, there can only be one winner. Congratulations again to Scott Harbison, our 2022 Pumpkin King!
