Sunderland predicted lineup: One change expected against Oxford
Alex Neil is expected to make one change to his Sunderland starting lineup for today’s League One clash with Oxford United at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats boss has no fresh injury concerns following the midweek draw with Portsmouth and could name an unchanged team.
However, Neil may be tempted to recall Dennis Cirkin to the side at left-back, with Niall Huggins dropping out.
That would see Luke O’Nien switch to right-back, with Trai Hume moving to the bench.
The rest of the team is likely to remain the same, with Jack Clarke and Amad Diallo continuing on the wings and Ross Stewart leading the line.
Sunderland predicted lineup:
Patterson; O’Nien, Ballard, Batth, Cirkin; Neil, Evans, Pritchard; Clarke, Stewart, Diallo
Oxford United are likely to make several changes to the side that started the midweek draw with Morecambe.
Karl Robinson could recall Cameron Brannagan, Marcus McGuane, and Matty Taylor to the starting lineup.
That would see James Henry, Yanic Wildschut, and Sam Baldock dropping out of the side.
Oxford United predicted lineup:
Eastwood; Long, Moore, Atkinson, Anderson; Brannagan, McGuane, Bate; Taylor, Bodin, Brown
