UD Las Palmas vs Liverpool: Reds survive scare to extend unbeaten run
Liverpool came from behind to beat UD Las Palmas 2-1 in a pre-season friendly on Friday.
The Reds fell behind to Tana's early goal, but goals from Roberto Firmino and Darwin Nunez turned the game in their favour.
Liverpool started the game brightly and created a number of chances in the opening minutes. However, it was Las Palmas who took the lead against the run of play when Tana fired home from close range.
Liverpool responded well to going behind and equalised just a few minutes later through Firmino. The Brazilian striker latched onto a loose ball in the area and fired home from close range.
Liverpool continued to press for a winner in the second half and were rewarded when Nunez scored a stunning goal from outside the area.
The win was a good workout for Liverpool ahead of the start of the new season. The Reds will now face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Saturday.
