A-Road to be closed at times over weekend due to abnormal load
Highways England has issued a warning to drivers after a major A-road is set to be closed at times over the weekend
The A500 D-road will be shut in both directions between junctions 15 and 16 due to an abnormal load needing to travel along the carriageway.
Highways England say that a full closure will be in place between 10pm and 11pm on both Saturday and Sunday night (March 4 and 5).
Motorists who need to travel along that stretch are advised to allow extra time for their journeys
Highways England has said it will also operate a rolling road block between 9pm and 10pm, as well as 11pm and 12am on both evenings to allow for the abnormal load to pass through.
Full details of the closures can be found on the Highways England website.
