Ferguson ends goal drought but Brighton pegged back
Brighton & Hove Albion remain in the Premier League's bottom three after Neal Maupay's late equaliser earned Fulham a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.
Maupay drilled home from close range in the 88th minute after Aleksandar Mitrovic's downward header had come back off the crossbar, to cancel out Lewis Ferguson's first-half opener for the hosts.
The result leaves Brighton just one point above the relegation zone, while Fulham moved up to sixth.
It was a frustrating afternoon for Brighton, who had the better chances throughout the game but were unable to make the most of them.
They came closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half when Leandro Trossard hit the post with a curling effort, and Ferguson also had a shot cleared off the line.
Fulham grew into the game after the break and Mitrovic had a great chance to level when he was played through on goal by Willian, but the Serbian striker fired wide.
However, Mitrovic made amends for his miss by setting up Maupay for the equaliser late on.
The draw means that Brighton have now won just one of their last eight Premier League games, and they will need to improve their form quickly if they are to avoid relegation.
