Martin Boyle confident that Hibs can get a positive result against Hearts
Ahead of the Edinburgh derby, the forward says his team are in a 'good place'
Boyle admits that the 'pressure is on' following Celtic defeat
Martin Boyle is confident that Hibernian can get a positive result when they take on Hearts in the Edinburgh derby on Saturday. The forward is back in the Scotland squad after his goalscoring exploits for Hibs.
He has netted six times in 11 appearances for the Easter Road side and is confident he can help them to victory over their city rivals. Speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News, Boyle said: "It is a massive game for the club and the fans."
"We know that the pressure is on us after the defeat to Celtic, but we are in a good place and we are confident that we can get a positive result."
Boyle's confidence stems from the fact that Hibs have a good recent record against Hearts. They have won the last two meetings between the sides, including a 3-0 victory at Easter Road in January.
But Boyle knows that Hearts will be a tough opponent, especially at home. He said: "They are a good team and they will be up for it on Saturday. But we are confident that we can go there and get a result."
The Edinburgh derby is one of the most passionate fixtures in Scottish football and Boyle is expecting a lively atmosphere on Saturday.
He added: "It's always a special game and the atmosphere is always electric. We are expecting a tough game, but we are confident that we can get a positive result."
