Live NBA 2024/25 Season Schedule: Regular Season, In-Season Tournament, Playoffs, and Finals
Introduction
The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the full schedule for the 2024/25 season, which tips off on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, and concludes with the NBA Finals in June 2025. The season will feature a total of 1,230 regular season games, an in-season tournament, and the traditional playoffs and Finals.
Regular Season
The regular season will consist of 82 games for each of the league's 30 teams, with teams playing four games against each of their division rivals, three games against each of the six teams in the opposite conference, and two games against the remaining 14 teams in their own conference.
The regular season will be divided into two halves, with the first half ending on Thursday, February 13, 2025, and the second half beginning on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
In-Season Tournament
The NBA will introduce a new in-season tournament for the 2024/25 season. The tournament will feature the top 16 teams in the league based on their records at the end of the first half of the regular season.
The tournament will be single-elimination, with the first round being played on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, and the championship game being played on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Playoffs
The NBA playoffs will begin on Saturday, April 12, 2025, and conclude with the NBA Finals in June 2025. The top eight teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs, with the top three teams in each conference receiving a first-round bye.
The playoffs will be a single-elimination tournament, with the first round being played in a best-of-seven format, the second round being played in a best-of-seven format, the conference finals being played in a best-of-seven format, and the NBA Finals being played in a best-of-seven format.
Finals
The NBA Finals will begin on Thursday, June 5, 2025, and conclude no later than Thursday, June 19, 2025. The Finals will feature the Eastern Conference champion and the Western Conference champion.
The Finals will be a best-of-seven series, with the team with the better record during the regular season having home-court advantage.
