Pep: Home form key to Premier League success
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes that his team's home form will be crucial in their bid to win the Premier League title this season.
City have won all six of their home games in the league so far this season, scoring 23 goals and conceding just two.
Guardiola said: "Our home form is very important. We have to be strong at home and win as many games as possible."
"We know that the Premier League is very competitive and there are many good teams, but we have a good squad and we are confident that we can challenge for the title."
City's home form has been a major factor in their success in recent seasons.
They have won the Premier League title in each of the last two seasons, and they have also won the League Cup three times in a row.
Guardiola said: "We have a good record at home and we are very comfortable playing there.
"We have a good atmosphere and the fans are always behind us. This gives us a big advantage."
However, City have not always been so strong at home.
In the 2016/17 season, they lost three of their first six home games in the league.
Guardiola said: "We had a difficult start to that season, but we learned from our mistakes and we have improved our home form since then.
"We are now a much more solid team and we are very difficult to beat at home."
City's next home game is against Arsenal on Saturday.
Arsenal are one of the most in-form teams in the league at the moment, and they will be a tough test for City.
Guardiola said: "Arsenal are a very good team and they will be a difficult challenge for us.
"But we are confident that we can get a good result and continue our good home form."
