Terminator 2: Tag der Abrechnung - Terminator 2: Judgment Day in Heidelberg
Science Fiction Movie Classic on the open-air cinema screen in Heidelberg
On August 26, 1991, Terminator 2: Judgment Day premiered in German cinemas. The sequel to the successful science fiction film The Terminator from 1984 not only managed to build on the great success of its predecessor, but even surpassed it. Terminator 2: Judgment Day won four Oscars and is still considered one of the best action films ever made today.
The story takes place ten years after the events of the first film. Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and her son John (Edward Furlong) are on the run from the T-1000 (Robert Patrick), a new, even more dangerous Terminator model sent from the future to kill John Connor. John Connor is the future leader of the human resistance against the machines and must therefore be eliminated. The two are supported by the reprogrammed Terminator T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who was sent back in time to protect John Connor.
