Aaron Wan-Bissaka Breaks Silence on Facing Old Club Manchester United

Mixed Emotions for Former Red Devil

Former Manchester United defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, has opened up about his emotions ahead of facing his old club when Crystal Palace visit Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Wan-Bissaka spent four years at United before joining Palace in the summer of 2022 for a fee of £15 million. He established himself as one of the most exciting young full-backs in the Premier League during his time in Manchester, but struggled for consistency following a change of manager.

'A Special Game'

Despite his struggles at the end of his United career, Wan-Bissaka admits that facing his former club will be a special occasion.

"It's going to be a weird one," said Wan-Bissaka.

"I was there for four years so it's a club that I hold close to my heart. It's going to be a special game."

'Mixed Emotions'

Wan-Bissaka admits to feeling a mixture of emotions ahead of the game.

"There's going to be a few nerves, but also excitement," he said.

"I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and playing against some great players."

'No Point to Prove'

Despite leaving United under a cloud, Wan-Bissaka insists that he has no point to prove to his former employers.

"I'm just going to go out there and play my game," he said.

"I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone. I just want to help my team get a good result."
